Kentucky Derby Day, Saturday, May 5th
On Saturday, May 5th, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, celebrate two historic tracks as Goshen Historic Track hosts its Third Annual Kentucky Derby Day. Share in the excitement of America’s premier horse racing event. Watch the Kentucky Derby races simulcast on several large screen TVs while enjoying the rest of the day’s festivities that also features great family-style BBQ food, beer, wine and soda. There will be a 50/50 and more…
OTB will be available. Fun–filled activities for the entire family will be ongoing. A crowd favorite, and open to all ages, is the annual Ladies Hat Contest. Games of horseshoes, cornhole bag tossing, cruise-style horseracing and other activities guarantee that there will never be a dull moment.
Simulcast Kentucky Derby Broadcast • Great Food • Beer, Wine & Soda • OTB Availability • Family Games and More…
Keep us trotting and pacing into our 108th season!
The fundraiser will help the track pay for maintenance expenses and go towards improvements in the facilities. Goshen Historic Track is a not-for-profit and is not a part of the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame.
The Goshen Track’s revenues come primarily from seven days of racing in the summer, stall rentals, memberships, fundraisers and private donations. Visitors are welcome. Mornings or late afternoons are usually the best times to see trotters and pacers training for the Grand Circuit. Some may go on to win the prestigious Hambletonian, harness racing’s version of the Kentucky Derby. Deweycheatumnhowe did just that in 2011. He boarded and trained at the Goshen Track.
