The Harness Horse Youth Foundation
Established in 1976, The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is a charitable 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing young people and their families educational opportunities with harness horses, in order to foster the next generation of participants and fans. The Foundation has been making a difference in young people’s lives since since its inception, and its programs include interactive learning experiences with these versatile animals, scholarship programs, and creation and distribution of educational materials.
Leadership Program: July 4 – 7
For previous camp attendees this “next level” camp allows participants to look more seriously at equine careers and educational opportunities after high school. In addition, it offers individual leadership workshops and and training. Usually a five day event.
Introductory Level: July 10 – 14
- Ages 12 – 14
- No previous horse experience is necessary
- Registration fee for each is $150; food and lodging included
